ICE CREAM & SLUSH MACHINE RENTAL POLICY

Thank you for choosing Gabby’s Treats for your ice cream and slush machine rental needs! To ensure a smooth rental experience, please review the following policy before booking:

1. RENTAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

  •  The rental period is based on the agreed-upon time slot selected at booking.
  • Proper electrical connections and space requirements (safe, dry, and stable location) must be met as specified in the rental instructions.
  • Machines must be used only for their intended purpose (i.e., producing soft-serve ice cream or slush drinks).
  • No foreign substances (e.g., unauthorized mix, alcohol, or chemicals) should be used in the machine.

2. DELIVERY, SETUP, AND PICKUP

  •  Our team will deliver, set up, and provide a basic demonstration of machine operation.
  • Machines must be ready for pickup at the agreed-upon time to avoid additional charges.
  • A late return fee of £20 per hour applies if the machine is not available for pickup as scheduled.

3. CLEANING & MAINTENANCE

  • Where applicable, machines must be returned in a clean (outward only) and fully operational condition.
  • A £15 cleaning fee will be charged for excessive residue, spills, or failure to rinse the machine after use.

4. DAMAGE LIABILITY & OPTIONAL WAIVER FEE

4.1 Damage Liability

  • The renter is responsible for any damage, loss, or malfunction caused by improper use, negligence, or failure to follow operational guidelines.
  • Repairs or replacement costs for damaged machines will be billed to the renter at full retail value.

4.2 Optional Waiver Fee

  • Renters have the option to pay a Waiver Fee of £40 at the time of booking. Applicable to self-service option only.
  • This fee covers accidental damage and minor repairs, excluding gross negligence or intentional damage.
  • If the Waiver Fee is declined, full liability for any damages will rest on the renter.

5. CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY

  • Cancellations made two weeks or more in advance of the rental date qualify for a full refund.
  • Cancellations made one to two weeks in advance of the rental date attracts a 50% cancellation fee.
  • No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than one week before the rental date.

6. LIABILITY WAIVER

  • Gabby’s Treats will not be liable for any injuries, accidents, allergic reactions, or cases of food poisoning related to the consumption of ice cream, slushies, or any other products dispensed from the rented machines.
  • Gabby’s Treats will provide Government advisory information/guidance to support the renter’s understanding of the product ingredients and potential allergens.
  • During setup of machine, Gabby’s Treats will always insist on the presence of the renter’s representative to observe its routine cleaning process before the machine is put to use, giving needed assurance to the renter of the business’ high hygiene standard.
  • Gabby’s Treats commits to using liquid ready-mix cream sourced only from reputable brands to maintain product quality and safety.
  • Where applicable, renters assume full responsibility for monitoring safe operation and proper food handling practices.

7. AGREEMENT & ACCEPTANCE

By renting from Gabby’s Treats, the renter agrees to the terms and conditions outlined in this policy. Any violation of these terms may result in additional charges or legal action.
